Water sharing plans are legally binding plans made under the NSW Water Management Act 2000. </span></p><p><span>The Australian Water Information dictionary defines a 'regulated river' as "A River on which a licensed entitlement regime exists with centralised allocation, and from which orders may be placed for upstream release of a licensed allocation."
